Your dog doesn’t need perfect training or professional modeling experience. Elaine works patiently and allows time for your dog to become comfortable, explore and simply be themselves.
For safety, your dog can remain on a leash throughout the session. The goal isn’t a perfectly posed dog. It’s an authentic portrait of the dog you know and love.

Does my dog need to be well trained?
Not at all. Your dog doesn’t need to sit perfectly or follow every command. Elaine works patiently and gives each dog time to become comfortable, explore and show their natural personality.
Can my dog remain on a leash?
Yes. Your dog can remain safely on a leash throughout the session. Leashes and other distractions can be removed from selected portraits during editing.
Can our family be included in the photographs?
Absolutely. Your dog is part of your family, and the session can include portraits of your dog alone as well as photographs of the people who share their life.
Can you photograph more than one dog?
Yes. Elaine will plan individual and group portraits based on the dogs’ personalities, comfort levels and ability to be photographed together.
Do you photograph senior dogs?
Yes. Senior-dog sessions are planned patiently and respectfully, with breaks and locations chosen around the dog’s comfort and mobility.
