Her story
Animals have always been part of her story
Elaine grew up riding horses and has spent much of her life around the animals she loves. Today, that connection continues through her horse Tater Tot, her dog Simba and the wildlife she encounters through photography and travel.
Her patient, calm approach allows each session to develop naturally—without forcing moments that don’t feel authentic.
The natural world
An artistic eye shaped by experience
Elaine’s wildlife and travel photography have taken her across North America and Europe, where she has photographed wild horses, polar bears, black bears, brown bears, wolves and many other animals.
Those experiences have taught her to be observant and ready for moments that can’t be manufactured. They influence every portrait she creates—from the way she uses natural light and surrounding landscapes to her ability to recognize an expression, movement or quiet connection as it happens.

The story behind the name
Why White Deer?
While living in Central Pennsylvania, Elaine encountered and photographed a white deer—a rare and unforgettable sight. After that first encounter, she often returned hoping to photograph it again. Friends and others in the community began letting her know whenever the deer was spotted.
To Elaine, the white deer was unique, majestic, quietly regal and almost magical. That sense of wonder inspired the name White Deer Photography.
